Available in pill tablet or capsule
The effect of MDMA sets in within 30 to 60 minutes. In 3.5 to 4 hours it peaks followed by a plateau and then a depressive phase to stave off which the pill is popped again.
Effects. The person under influence becomes physically very active alert and hence it is used in rave parties where people dance nonstop for the entire night and day. The music has a synergistic effect in enhancing the psychedelic effects. The mind becomes hyperactive. Thoughts run at a high speed.
At times to enhance the psychedelic effects it is combined with LSD, Psilocybin mushrooms, or Ketamine called as “flipping”

COCAINE –Coke, namak (salt in Hindi), coca, flake, snow, heaven dust, crack
Cocaine is a highly addictive stimulant derived from the leaves of the coca plant. It is the most popular party drug in India today. Usually a white crystalline powder. Crack, a cheaper form of cocaine. Cocaine abusers typically develop a tolerance to the drug and take in higher doses to maintain the same high.
Cocaine is either snorted or dissolved in a liquid and then injected. Some also mix cocaine with cannabis and tobacco and smoke it.
Effects- Cocaine increases alertness, feelings of well-being and euphoria, energy and motor activity, feelings of competence and sexuality.
After effects Anxiety, paranoia and restlessness can also occur, especially during the comedown. With excessive dosage, tremors, convulsions and increased body temperature are observed. Severe cardiac adverse events, particularly sudden cardiac death, become a serious risk at high doses due to cocaine’s blocking effect on cardiac sodium channels.
Addiction can result in severe paranoia The recovery of the brain from damage caused by cocaine can take over a minimum of two years.
Combining cocaine with alcohol can be fatal as was seen in the famous case of the death of the secretary of Rahul Mahajan as respiratory shut down can happen. I had a client who would run on a treadmill on a speed of 20 after being high on cocaine- a potential cardiac arrest in waiting.
HEROIN Smack, horse, junk, H, Skag
Derivative of morphine, an extract from the poppy plant. In its purest form, it is a white powder but can also be brown in colour because of the presence of impurities often mixed with talcum powder, starch, sugar, powdered milk, or quinine. As the drug is adulterated, it is difficult to determine the actual dose of heroin, which can be fatal.
After just a few hours or days of the last administration, withdrawal symptoms such as an intense craving for the drug, restlessness, pain, sleeplessness, vomiting, and kicking can be seen in the average heroin abuser.
A tin foil containing heroin powder is heated underneath. This results in the solid powder turning into a liquid. Users either inhale the fumes or inject the liquid. Heroin is also smoked.
Visible Signs
The heroin addict typically rushes to the bathroom in the morning for his morning dose. Heroin abuse also often causes constipation, leading to prolonged use of the bathroom. Other visible signs of heroin abuse: runny nose, coughing, sneezing, fever, chills, Mental confusión, Staggered gait, Lack of hygiene, Poor appetite, Vomiting, Scratch marks, Pupil dilation, Calmness (when high) and restlessness (when not high)
