The NSS Unit of ATLAS SkillTech University organized a youth awareness session themed “Say No to Drugs” on 23rd September 2024 as part of its Fantasy Killer initiative, aimed at discouraging substance abuse among students. The program was conducted in alignment with the national Nasha Mukt Bharat (Drug-Free India) campaign, encouraging educational institutions to actively promote awareness and prevention.
Vandana Hiranandani from Anatta Humanversity was invited to address the students, leading an interactive session focused on awareness, informed decision-making, and the importance of mental and emotional wellbeing in preventing substance dependence. The session created a space for open conversation around the realities of drug use and its impact on individuals and communities.
Session Highlights
- Interactive awareness session addressing the risks and long-term consequences of substance abuse.
- Discussions on peer pressure, emotional triggers, and common misconceptions around drug use.
- Focus on building self-awareness, resilience, and healthier coping mechanisms among youth.
- Open dialogue format encouraging student participation and questions in a non-judgmental environment.
